Baron Edmond de Rothschild - Flechas de los Andes winery is nestled between the commanding Andes mountains in Argentina. Originally a fruitless desert, the area was meticulously crafted into a fertile vineyard under the joint venture of the Rothschild and Dassault families. The partnership was forged in 1999, and their inaugural wine, Malbec, was released in 2002, offering a rich, complex flavour that paid homage to both the French heritage and Argentine setting.
Flechas de los Andes coaxes vibrant vital ingredients from the shadow of the Andes. Over time, incandescent and elemental materials have been gradually discharged from the mountain range, nurturing the vineyard’s soil. It's this blend of volcanic rock and desert sands that makes the vineyard's produce so distinct.
Irrigation also plays a crucial part in the winery’s method. The snow from the Andes furnishes the perfect measure of hydration, while the sun-drenched landscape ensures a warm climate for the grapes to thrive. An effortless fusion of the raw natural elements results in the luxuriant delivery of wines.
The winery has produced a number of different wines over the years, however, its Gran Malbec remains a notable standout, appreciated for its constitutive body and plum undertones. What distinguishes Flechas de los Andes’ wine's is the delectable balance between fruit and spice that perfectly exemplifies the terroir from which it originates.
Baron Edmond de Rothschild - Flechas de los Andes winery is a testament to the transformative influence of strategic partnership, masterful craftsmanship and remarkable terroir, within the world of winemaking. It's this unwavering commitment to producing wines of distinction and character that ensures the winery retains an unassailable place in the milieu of fine wine.
