Product Notes

Bernabeleva Camino De Navaherreros Blanco is a harmonious Spanish wine crafted in Madrid's San Martin de Valdeiglesias region. It bears an aromatic bouquet of crisp apple and pear nuanced with floral undertones. Sublime on the tongue, this delicate yet complex wine offers a balance of imperturbable minerality and vibrant acidity. Its flavours hint at citrus fruits, with subtle almond notes, encapsulating the essence of the granitic soils of their vineyard. The exquisite finish is pleasingly persistent, revealing the wine’s exceptional quality. A delightful accompaniment to light dishes or to be savoured as an elegant aperitif.

Tasting Notes

A fresh white wine with honey and wild flower aromas. Clean and balanced fruit and balsamic flavours. Dangerously drinkable!

About the Winery

Bernabeleva

Nestled amidst the Sierra de Gredos mountains in Spain, the Bernabeleva winery is an epitome of exquisite winemaking with a rich history rooted back to near a century. This emblematic estate in the San Martín de Valdeiglesias area takes its name from "Bear Forest", thus signifying the connection with nature that strongly permeates its winemaking philosophy.

Bernabeleva came into existence in 1923 when a distinguished doctor from Madrid purchased the land, impassioned by the potential of the local Garnacha. However it was not until 2006 that the winery crystallised into its modern form, today overseen by grandsons Marc Isart and Raúl Pérez. The duo intuitively cultivates about 35 hectares of old vines, utilising biodynamic practices and organically approved treatments that respect the biodiversity of the land.

The vineyard’s location at the crossroad of Atlantic, Continental and Mediterranean climates renders an ideal setting for the Garnacha grape to flourish. The granitic soil adds a subtle mineral character to wines, beautifully complementing the fruit flavours intrinsic to the Garnacha grape. Bernabeleva firmly believes in a non-interventionist winemaking process, keen to let the grape express itself as authentically as possible. This methodology results in wines of distinctive character, that manifest the uniqueness of the terroir.

The Bernabeleva winery invites visitors to take part in a sensory voyage, with opportunities to stroll through the vineyards, plunge into the wine cellar, and, of course, taste their wines. Guests are treated to robust reds, playful rosés, and fruit-forward whites all characteristic of Bernabeleva’s excellent craftsmanship.

Whether you're an oenophile or a novice, the Bernabeleva winery with it's spectacular wines and breathtaking panoramic landscape will captivate you. Its’s a perfect blend of traditional winemaking techniques and innovative practices, breathing life into every bottle that comes from these beautiful vineyards.
