Collection: Saperavi

Saperavi grapes are used predominantly in Georgia, but have spread to other regions of Eastern Europe more recently (Purcari). Most cultivars grown today follow a similar pattern; they're primarily cultivated around the country's capital city Tbilisi for propagation purposes. One notable exception? The Finger Lakes region located upstate New York which has seen success with Sapeerave varieties thanks largely due their ability yield high quality wines despite being prone towards rot diseases like powdery mildew!
