Collection: Wakefield Estate Wines

Wakefield Estate wines are crafted in the Clare Valley, South Australia, using grapes from vineyards that have been family-owned for three generations. They understand that great wines start with the grapes, and they work hard to capture the unique varietal expression of each grape variety. Their wines are fruit-forward and well-balanced, with a smooth finish that makes them perfect for any occasion.

The estate was founded in 2006 by the Wakefield family, who have been grape growers in the Clare Valley for three generations. They were some of the early pioneers of the region’s wine industry, and they quickly established a reputation for making high-quality wines. Today, Wakefield Estate is one of the leading producers of Clare Valley

The Wakefield Estate winemaking team is led by Chief Winemaker, Michael Fragos. With over 25 years of experience in the wine industry, he has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to bring to the table. He is passionate about making wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Clare Valley, and he works closely with the Wakefield family to ensure that each wine is a true expression of the region

The Wakefield Estate vineyards are located in the southern part of the Clare Valley, in an area known as the “Golden Triangle”. This is a prime grape-growing region, and it is home to some of the oldest vines in Australia.

The vineyards are planted on undulating terraces, which give them excellent exposure to the sun and provide optimal drainage. The soils are a mix of gravel and clay, which helps to produce wines with great flavour and structure

The Wakefield Estate range includes a variety of wine styles, from crisp whites and elegant reds to rich dessert wines. They are all made using grapes from the estate vineyards, and they are all hand-crafted in small batches to ensure quality and consistency.
