This alchemic combination ensures a delightful experience for both novices and seasoned wine enthusiasts. A true reflection of Italian viticulture, it's an exceptional choice.

About the Winery

Cordero di Montezemolo

Established in the heart of the Langhe, on the scenic slopes of La Morra, lies the prestigious and historic Cordero di Montezemolo winery. Hailed as one of the cornerstones of Italian viticulture, the winery’s rich legacy traces back to 1382, housing a vast tract of vineyards and a charming estate, enveloped in century-old Lebanon cedars.

Under the watchful curatorship of the Cordero di Montezemolo family, they have successfully married time-honoured tradition with modern winemaking techniques. As a testament to their dedication and commitment towards excellence, the winery has received international acclaim for their iconic Barolo, with its distinctive hint of marasca cherries, raspberries, hints of violets, sweet tobacco and cocoa on the finish.

The winery sprawls over an impressive 26 hectares, brimming with carefully tended vineyards - Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis and Chardonnay amongst others. Traditional practices are fused with cutting-edge technological advancements not just in the vineyards but also in the cellar, where each grape variety is vinified in order to retain its unique character and individuality. An eco-friendly philosophy guides all activities, minimising external intervention.

Cordero di Montezemolo not only presents an enticing gastronomic experience but welcomes visitors to immure themselves in the artistic and historical beauty reflected in its 16th century monastery and its unique ‘trifora’ (three-hole window). The winery offers fine-tuned guided tours, inviting visitors to visit vignettes of their luminous past and experiencing first hand the art of winemaking.

The impeccable quality of the wine is undoubtedly matched by the winery’s emphasis in promoting sustainable agriculture; they rely on solar panels for their energy needs and employ rainwater harvesting techniques to ensure an ecologically viable present and future! With generations of experience and a talent for crafting timeless wines, Cordero di Montezemolo is truly an epitome of Italian wine craftsmanship.
