Product Notes

DeLoach Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a sublime wine from California's celebrated Sonoma County Region. Exhibiting a vibrant, golden hue, it exudes aromas of ripe apples, fragrant vanilla and honey, brilliantly harmonised with nuances of zesty citrus and crème brûlée. On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent, showcasing delicate layers of stone fruit and toasted oak. Its mineral backbone and lively acidity yield a poised, impeccably balanced wine, culminating in a lengthy, sophisticated finish. Ageing in French oak imparts a creamy, buttery texture. A classic Chardonnay, it is ideal for elegant dining occasions or for simply savouring on its own.

Tasting Notes

On the nose this wine reveals nectarine and ripe pear aromas. The palate is endowed with integrated oak structure, hints of vanilla cream, lemon zest, and baked apples. DeLoach vineyards, nestled in the heart of Sonoma Valley, California, offers a superb range of award-winning wines with a distinctive character, an embodiment of the refined taste of its founders, Cecil and Christine DeLoach.

Incorporated in 1975, DeLoach was among the pioneers who showcased the rich potential of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley as a wine-producing region. They quickly gained renown for their sophisticated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. Their swift rise to prominence is partly attributed to their attention to detail and a deep-rooted belief in sustainable farming. In 2003, the Boisset family from Burgundy, France, took over the administration of DeLoach. The organically farmed DeLoach winery is now held by Jean-Charles Boisset who has infused his family’s long-standing biodynamic philosophies and holistic winemaking practices into operations; pushing the envelope for environmentally friendly viticulture.

Upon visiting the 20-acre DeLoach estate, one is welcomed by a sensory array of vibrant flowers and a variety of plants, which not only maintain the health of the soil but also create a stunning visual landscape.
