Product Notes

Elena Walch Pinot Grigio is a splendid Italian wine, emanating from the Alto Adige region. It encapsulates a stunning clarity, presenting a straw-yellow hue that delights the eye. Its bouquet charms with a harmonious mix of ripe pears, floral notes and spice nuances. The palate is suavely polished and animated, with a lovely freshness of crisp, green apples. A wine of medium body, it is marked by a supple acidity and persistent finish. This Pinot Grigio makes a splendid companion to light starters or fish dishes, and savoured by both connoisseurs and casual wine-drinkers alike.

Tasting Notes

This Pinot Grigio captivates with light straw yellow and fruity notes of ripe pears, white pepper and a bit of sage in the nose. Mineral- salty richness and a crisp acidity are distinctive on the palate.

The vineyards spread over an impressive 55 hectares of ideal grounds eminent for the cultivation of various grape types. Notable among these are Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Muscat. The winery owns two of the finest vineyards in Alto Adige: Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz which provide choice, hand-harvested grapes essential for the production of their acclaimed Vinea-dor quality wines.
