Product Notes

The Boekenhoutskloof Franschhoek Cabernet Sauvignon is a delightful South African wine of exceptional character. It seduces the senses with rich notes of dark cherry, savoury earth tones and subtle truffle flavour. Matured in French oak, this elegant wine presents a balanced, velvety tannin structure and remarkable length. Subtle hints of vanilla, black currants and spice work in harmony to provide a tantalising aftertaste. This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is a luxurious indulgence, perfect for those with a discerning palate seeking something truly unique. It's an elegant pairing for robust dishes and red meats.

Tasting Notes

The nose is subtle, yet perfumey with its complex bouquet of red currant, dark cherries and blueberry and enticing whiffs of bergamot and cedar. Red and dark berry fruit follows through onto a medium-bodied palate with flavours of fresh fig and nutmeg. The mid-palate is focused, silky and poised with a charcoal-edged texture and very fine-grained tannins, with perfect acidity to balance. The wine lingers with hints of clove, crushed gravel and cocoa powder on a mineral-tinged, pure finish.
