About Carrick

Nestled amidst the stunning vistas of central Otago in the South Island of New Zealand, lies Carrick Winery. Established in 1993 the winery, named after the Carrick Mountain range that overlooks the vineyard, has extensively contributed toward the region’s growing reputation for excellent wine production.

Spanning over 24 hectares, the vineyard’s rich soil and cool climate are perfect for producing exceptional quality of grapes. Particularly renowned are the Pinot Noir grapes, which later transform into award-winning wines that Carrick has become synonymous with. The vineyard is also home to a smattering of other grape varieties, including the Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris.

Making use of organic and biodynamic farming, the winemaking process at Carrick is truly natural and sustainable putting environment preservation at the heart of its practices. In addition to eco-friendly practices, Carrick also adds value to each bottle through the expertise of its highly professional and passionate viticulture team: their commitment to the grape harvest and wine production process ensures wine with depth, richness and purity of fruit flavour.

The Carrick experience, fortunately, extends beyond just the tasting of their wonderful wines. The winery also houses a restaurant that serves delectable Meals, made with locally-sourced, and seasonally available ingredients to complement your chosen wine; a blend that truly enhances your gastronomic experience.

To visit Carrick is to visit realm where wine and nature coexist harmoniously. It's more than just a winery – it's a destination that offers an immersive experience amidst serene landscapes, exceptional wine and great food. So whether you are a wine enthusiast or a lover of fine foods, Carrick Winery is a place not to be overlooked, in your New Zealand itinerary.
