Product Notes

Clos Henri Petit Clos Sauvignon Blanc embodies a truly exquisite harmony of zest and richness. The wine hails from New Zealand's Marlborough region, a place recognised for producing world class Sauvignon Blanc. With a distinct golden hue, this wine allures the senses with crisp notes of passionfruit, citrus, and fresh-cut herbs. Its vibrant and lively palate has a refreshing minerality, elegantly balancing the full-bodied, juicy fruit flavours. The finish is long and satisfying. Perfect for a sunny afternoon, it's a brilliant companion to fresh seafood or a tangy goat cheese salad.

Tasting Notes

Bright and inviting, notes of ripe citrus, orange blossom and white peach. Juicy, with rich ripe stone fruits, the palate offers a refreshing acidity with satisfying weight and length. A wine showing excellent purity of place, there is a lingering mineral finish.

About the Winery

Clos Henri

Nestled in the verdant landscapes of Marlborough, New Zealand, the Clos Henri Winery captures the essence of viticulture at its finest. This charming establishment represents a beautiful marriage of traditional French winemaking practices and the fresh character of the New Zealand terrior, set against the backdrop of sublime, vine-cape-wrapped landscapes.

This winery was conceived in 2000 by the Bourgeois family from Sancerre, France, who harboured a deep-seated passion for winemaking that spans ten generations. They chose an idyllic 109-hectare plot in the Wairau Valley, selecting the finest terroirs from which to craft their distinctive wines.

Clos Henri's mission is to express the luxuriant diversity of its chosen terroir by crafting wines that exhibit unique, varietally typical qualities. They skilfully produce exceptional Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, along with an impressive Chardonnay.

One of the defining attributes of Clos Henri is their uncompromising commitment to sustainability, They adopt organic farming principles that respect the earth and nurture the vines. In set with Biogro organic certification, they also possess the rare Demeter biodynamic certification.

Visiting the winery affords a chance to savour these exquisite wines amidst stunning settings, whether it's within the historic quaint chapel tasting room that dates back to the 1800s or on the picturesque alfresco courtyard. A cellar door experience at Clos Henri permits the indulgence of wine tasting, paired with local gourmet cheeses in an intimate, convivial ambience, whilst enjoying scenic views of the vineyard.
