This medium-bodied wine offers a profusion of sweetly ripe fruits, displaying sumptuous plums and cherries balanced perfectly with hints of vanilla and gentle spice notes. The palate presents an alluring blend of smooth, velvety tannins that culminate in an elegantly dry finish. The beguiling garnet hue and the softly gentle oak influence make this wine a true pleasure to drink. An ideal companion to roast meats or hearty pasta dishes, Fox Gordon's By George Tempranillo is an ode to authentic Australian winemaking.

A round and supple wine which delivers notes of fragrant red summer fruits, complemented by hints of gorgeous spice and subtle Dutch chocolate notes. A wine that is delightful and vibrant, yet sophisticated.

About the Winery

Fox Gordon

Fox Gordon winery, nestled in the stunning Adelaide Hills of South Australia, is a premier purveyor of fine wine. Owned by Tash Mooney, one of Australia's leading women winemakers, it unites tradition and innovation in its approach to viticulture. The winery's name is an homage to the original owners' daughters, 'fox' being the English translation of Tash's daughter's middle name, and 'gordon' directly related to Rachel's father's first name.

The winery is committed to creating wine redolent with character and sophistication. Utilising some of the finest grape qualities, Fox Gordon puts a spotlight on the region's gifted terroir. Lush pinot grigio, aromatic sauvignon blanc, and sumptuous shiraz are testament to the winery's relentless pursuit of flavourful excellence.

Spanning over 50 hectares, the picturesque vineyard also offers the occasional glimpse of native Australian wildlife, including the playful eponymous foxes, giving visitors a truly authentic taste of the Australian rural landscape.

But the winery is not just about the produce and the venue. Fox Gordon emphasises strong family values, community engagement and sustainability. They proudly contribute to preserving the natural environment and promoting biodiversity in their vineyards. Their firm belief is that great winemaking begins with responsible stewardship of the land.

Fox Gordon's unwavering commitment to quality and charm is evidenced by its numerous awards, including the 2020 Five Star Winery status by James Halliday. They have continued to establish themselves as a reputable brand amongst wine connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts. Their undoubtedly one of South Australia's wine gems well worth discovery.
