May decided to purchase the estate, at the age of 78, after a lifetime of promoting French wines, particularly those from her château in Pauillac. With a deep belief in the potential of South African wine, she transformed the former fruit farm into a world-class winery - a place where French heritage meets South African soil.

The winery is renowned for its elegant Bordeaux-styled red and white wines.
