At merely 27, she was the first woman to run a Champagne house, overcoming societal norms and personal hurdles.

Under her leadership, the brand made novel strides, including the first ever vintage Champagne in 1810. She also introduced the ‘riddling table’ in 1816, a revolutionary contraption that ensured clear Champagne, thereby solidifying Veuve Clicquot as a genuine trailblazer. The signature Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label was introduced in the 1870s and it continues to be a cornerstone champagne.
