Product Notes

Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Riesling Spätlese is an exceptional German wine known for its splendid balance of sweetness and acidity. This nectar presents an impressive bouquet of honey, ripe peaches, and floral undertones. On the palate, there’s a playful dance of tropical fruit flavours, accompanied by prominent minerality reflective of the Saarburger Rausch vineyards. Characterised by its bright, refreshing and complex profile, it delivers persistent pleasure even in its youth, yet showcases a promising ageing potential. A perfect companion for spicy cuisine or simply to enjoy on its own, it brilliantly encapsulates Zilliken's winemaking finesse.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, this Spätlese enchants with its stony and smoky notes, encircled by vineyard peach and juicy, dried apricot as well as delicate floral nuances of white lilac. It is incredibly dense on the palate, with the stimulating taste of white peach. The play of aromas of raspberry leaves and spearmint is particularly exciting. We attest great storage potential and look forward to a long journey with this fine specimen.
