Product Notes

Frescobaldi Castello Nipozzano Montesodi Toscana IGT wine is an elegant, Italian red wine hailing from the esteemed Tuscany region. This wine exudes a rich array of complex aromas, exhibiting notes of ripe berries, toasted oak, and hints of spice. Upon sipping, one can experience its full-bodied richness, subtle tannins, and a generous harmony of flavours, reflecting dark fruits, espresso, and an earthy undercurrent. The finish is lengthy, with light minerality enhancing its charm. A prime example of the classic Tuscan viticulture, this wine showcases the enchanting blend of tradition and expertise that the Frescobaldi Estate is renowned for.

Tasting Notes

The nose has the bold character typical of this vintage. Among the main descriptors, fruity notes begin with red and black berries, including raspberry, wild strawberry, black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. These are supported by sweet vanilla and rounded off with balsamic notes, pepper and cinnamon. The palate is well-rounded and sumptuously elegant; the alcohol and acidic content balance out perfectly. The tannins are smooth and well integrated.

Moreover, sustainability is central to their work. Recognising the impact of climate change on winemaking, the Frescobaldi's are dedicated to preserving and enhancing their lands, working assiduously to improve biodiversity and to preserve the unique ecosystems within which their grapes flourish.

In terms of variety the family's premium selection includes an array of Chianti Classicos Sangiovese, Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri, and Maremma Toscana - all produced with a distinct focus-focusing on quality, character, and locality.
