Product Notes

Giacomo Fenocchio Barbera d'Alba is a delightful Italian wine hailing from Piedmont region. With a distinct garnet hue, this red beauty presents an exquisite nose boasting notes of ripe blackberries, cherries, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, boasting balanced acidity and plush tannins that evoke tastes of juicy red fruits and subtle earthy undertones. Its ageing in Slavonian oak barrels imparts a complex texture and a persistent finish, making it a perfect accompaniment to robust meats and aged cheeses. A delightful testament to Piedmont's viticulture, packed in a bottle of Giacomo Fenocchio Barbera d'Alba.

Tasting Notes

The colour is a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. It has a rather intense bouquet, with scents typical of the vine and a full bodied and dry flavour, with a distinct and pleasing acidity. It becomes mature with aging, acquiring a full and balanced flavour.

About the Winery

Giacomo Fenocchio

Established in 1864, Giacomo Fenocchio winery holds an eminent place in the heart of Barolo, Italy. With a longstanding history of over five generations, this winery has been passed on through the hands of the Fenocchio family, leading to a tremendously rich cultural and wine producing heritage.

Operating on 14 hectares of premium vineyard, they masterfully blend tradition with modern, progressive winemaking techniques. The grapes from these vineyards are meticulously hand-harvested, reflecting a high degree of attention to detail and respect for the land. Their crown jewels, the Barolo and the Barbaresco, are some of the region's most celebrated wines.

Their wine production focuses extensively on indigenous varietals like Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Their iconic Barolo, however, is an unforgettable experience. Complex and elegant, it is classic Barolo, full of lush red fruit, truffle and spice notes that only improve with age. But be it Barolo, Barbaresco or Barbera superior, each bottle they produce carries its own unique charm and personality.

The winery itself is an absolute work of art too. With sprawling vineyards set against the backdrop of the magnificent Italian countryside, it is a breathtaking sight that offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The interiors, featuring rustic wood barrels and an inviting tasting room, embody warmth and tradition.

Giacamo Fenocchio winery's commitment to its heritage and its dedication to producing wines of immense character has earned it a treasured spot in the international wine community. It's a must-visit destination for any oenophile: not merely for the exquisite wines but for the timelessly charming ambience that evokes a profound sense of respect and appreciation for both the art and the artisan.

Calming and elegant yet storied their wines echo the passion and effort poured into every drop.
