Product Notes

Graci Etna Rosso DOC is an elegant Sicilian wine expressing a unique persona. It flows eloquently with its garnet hue and a nuanced nose of red fruits and wild berries. This red wine presents a harmony of exotic spices, dried herbs and a touch of earthiness that resonates with the volcanic soils of Mount Etna. Its tannins are soft yet gripping, offering impressive depth and an echoing finish. Altogether, the Graci Etna Rosso DOC wine rubs shoulders with the eminent wines of Italy while maintaining its distinctive streak. A perfect companion to haute-cuisine and relaxed gatherings.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant and perfumed on the nose with notes of macerated strawberries, blood orange and red cherry; and with that distinct ‘ferric’ character, so often associated with this variety. Fresh and lively on the palate, very vinous and crunchy, supported by a rounded texture and persistent finish.

About the Winery

Graci

The Graci winery, harmoniously nestled on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, offers a taste of Sicily at its finest. A vinous experience here is not simply to engage with the flavours of a wine but to engage with an authenticity steeped in the rich fabric of history and tradition.

The winery maintains a low intervention approach, allowing the natural characteristics of the land and the grape varieties to shine through. Etna’s distinct volcanic soil lends a unique mineral quality to the wines, resulting in a flavour profile that is truly distinctive.

Founded by Alberto Aiello Graci, the Graci winery is rooted in a passion for and respect towards the land. Spread over 46 hectares at two different altitudes, they farm the indigenous Nerello Mascalese and Carricante varieties, keeping their production consistent with the area's traditions. It's the combination of these traditional methods, coupled with Alberto’s modern approach, that has led Graci winery to gain international acclaim.

At the heart of the Graci philosophy is a commitment to sustainably producing quality wines, with a primary focus on expressing the unique terroir of Mount Etna. That the landscape dramatically shifts in colour and character with each passing season is reflected in the sensational wines that Graci produces.

One cannot forget about the beautiful ocean views that feature prominently in the winery. The breath-taking views of Taormina's coast, paired with the intoxicating scents of fermenting grapes, complete a sensual experience that shouldn't be missed.

Visiting Graci winery is an immersive journey into a world where every bottle has a tale to tell, every sip resonates with time-honoured tradition and every drop mirrors the unique spirit of Mount Etna! It's a place where the wine isn’t simply a beverage, its a palpable expression of land, heritage and unwavering passion.
