Product Notes

La Spinetta Il Rosè di Casanova is a charming wine originating from Italy's Tuscany region. Produced by the famed La Spinetta winery, it’s a beautiful blend that primarily uses Sangiovese grapes. It presents itself in a vivid salmon pink hue, trancing drinkers with its aromatic and distinctive nose of red fruits, flowers, and citrus notes. This wine is accentuated by a satisfyingly crisp and medium-bodied palate, blending flavours of fresh summer berries with a zesty mineral finish. Ideal for warm afternoon enjoyment, it pairs exceptionally well with seafood and salads, creating an exquisite dining experience.

Tasting Notes

Inspired by Provencal Rosés, the Rivettis decided to produce one rosé from their porfolio. The fascinating characteristics of Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile, permitted us to create a wine that shows great character, an intense aroma, and which is very pleasant to drink. It has a floral and fruity bouquet with hints of citrus and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is wonderfully fresh and delicate with satisfying minerality and an all-embracing acidity.

About the Winery

La Spinetta

La Spinetta is a renowned Italian winery that’s amassed international recognition for its extraordinary wines. Situated in the heart of Piedmont, this family-owned winery commands a majestic view of the rolling hills dotted with vineyards.

Established in 1977, La Spinetta started out as a humble producer of Moscato d'Asti before branching out to produce opulent, full-bodied reds. Under the stewardship of the Rivetti family, La Spinetta’s repertoire includes a refined selection of Barbaresco, Barolo, and Barbera wines with a unique style that is the perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

La Spinetta’s winemaking process sets it apart. Pristine attention to the tiniest details is the signature of the winemaking team; preference is given to manual harvests to ensure optimal fruit selection. Organic farming is also practiced in the vineyards. This methodology is aimed at maintaining the vineyards’ natural ecosystem and respecting the environment.

In the winery, state-of-the-art equipment is used to create wines that truly express the unique terroir of Piedmont. Fermentation is done using indigenous yeasts, enhancing the natural characteristics of the grapes and adding complexity to the final product. The wines are then aged in French oak barrels, carefully selected for their ability to bring out the nuances of the wines' aromas and flavours.

La Spinetta's wines have won numerous awards and international accolades over the year, the result of a meticulous winemaking process and unwavering passion. Wine connoisseurs across the globe acclaim their reds for their power, richness, and elegantly structured tannins. La Spinetta isn't just a winery; it's a place where the marriage of art and science comes alive in every bottle.

At the core of the La Spinetta philosophy is a deep respect for the earth, the vines, and the remarkable abilities of the winemakers; That's what makes the La Spinetta experience exceptional.
