Product Notes

M. Chapoutier L’Ermite Blanc is a remarkable embodiment of French wine craftsmanship. It originates from the Rhône region, prominently featuring the characteristic white Marsanne grape, which imparts a complex, aromatic profile. This wine mesmerises with its captivating bouquet of honeyed pear, quince, toasted almonds, and floral hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and perfectly balanced, captivated by an incredibly long finish. Its velvety texture and layered complexity make it a splendid companion to a range of gourmet dishes, particularly seafood and creamy cheeses. This exclusive wine is a testament to the reverence of the M. Chapoutier estate for tradition and terroir.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant and limpid straw yellow. Complex aromas of vanilla, almonds, dried fruits and linden-tree. The minerality is marked (typical of the soil). Very round and rich wine. An elegant balance, with a light bitterness at the end. Very ripe white fruit aromas (peach and apricot). Beautiful length in mouth and a huge complexity. According to the vintage, the wine can be kept from 30 to 60 years, indeed from 50 to 75 years.
