Product Notes

Morgenster Lourens River Valley Red wine is an exceptional blend, crafted in the wine-rich regions in South Africa. It exhibits a deep ruby hue with aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and subtle nuances of tobacco. On the palate, this exceptional wine offers well-balanced tannins paired harmoniously with flavours of red currants and sweet spice, trailing into a long, satisfying finish. It's a full-bodied, indulgent wine that admirably reflects its terroir. Decanting is recommended to appreciate the complex character fully. It wonderfully pairs with red meat dishes, leaving an opulent experience in your mouth and memory.

Tasting Notes

Opaque centre with lighter brick red edges, young and vibrant red. Starts out more herbaceous with lavender and thyme in the lead. Cabernet franc much more predominant with some whiffs of coffee. Then comes the cassis, raspberry and perfumey rose petals. Elegant and accessible entry, fullness is a given. A seamlessly put together palate. Beautiful balance of fruit, wood and acidity.
