Product Notes
Mullineux Iron Swartland Chenin Blanc is a distinctive South African wine, hailing from Swartland. With its luxurious golden hue, it boasts an expressive bouquet of honeyed pears, white flowers and baking spices. On the palate, it balances a lively acidity with rich, sumptuous undertones of dried peaches and apricots. The touch of minerality is a nod to its namesake 'Iron' soils that lend an exceptional depth of flavour. This is a full-bodied, complex wine with a long, satisfying finish, making it an excellent pairing for poultry dishes and cream sauces. Mullineux's Chenin Blanc truly reflects the compelling terroir of Swartland.
Tasting Notes
Naturally higher extract and focussed acidity meld together to define this wine. The maiden vintage displays concentrated aromas of yellow apple, citrus peel and struck match. The impressively layered palate reveals pithy texture and mineral-laced fruit.
