A modern style Pinot Noir with a complex nose full of dark red cherries, a touch of vanilla complemented by hints of Earl Grey tea and rhubarb. The palate is beautifully knitted together with soft, velvety tannins and this vintage offers a supple yet richer style.

About the Winery

Ocean Eight

Nestled in Australia's Mornington Peninsula, Ocean Eight Winery is an epitome of elegance and quality. A small, family-owned boutique winery, Ocean Eight takes inspiration from traditional European winemaking culture whilst distinctly retaining an authentic Australian essence.

The winery is modest yet attractive in size, spanning just 17 hectares. However, out of these, nearly 40% is dedicated towards growing Pinot Noir. In addition, the vineyard also grows a substantial amount of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. This impressive variety is a testament to the team's unwavering passion to produce the finest hand-crafted wines that reflect the characteristic subtleties and the complexity of the region's terroir.

At Ocean Eight, the entire process—from the harvesting of the grapes, to the winemaking and bottling—is handled with utmost precision and finesse. The vineyard is known to adopt time-tested methods such as traditional hand picking, gravity fed winemaking and basket pressing. Furthermore, their commitment towards preserving the vibrant fruit character of their wines has resulted in the winery refraining from overusing oak during maturation.

The wines produced by Ocean Eight are celebrated not only in Australia, but also internationally. They are recognised for their consistency and quality, featuring a unique amalgamation of texture and complexity. Most notably, the winery's Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have gained acclaim and continue to be favourites among wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts, both locally and overseas.

Aside from the premium wines, the scenic beauty that surrounds the property, only magnifies what is quite a remarkable experience. Ocean Eight is certainly worth a visit with its picturesque landscapes, exceptional wines and the warm hospitality of its dedicated team the winery promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Australian viticulture!

Ocean Eight, exudes the true essence of Australian winemaking that combines passion, hard-work, and an unwavering commitment to quality and perfection.
