Product Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine, globally recognised for its intrinsic flavours of blackcurrant, bell pepper, and cedar. It originates from the Bordeaux region in France but is now produced worldwide. It has a robust, tannic structure and is known for its long ageing capacity. Notes of ripe dark fruits, vanilla, and tobacco characterise this wine due its oak-ageing process. Cabernet Sauvignon pairs perfectly with hearty fare like steak and lamb, as its rich, bold flavours complement the succulence of these dishes, making it an ideal choice for gourmet dinner parties.
Tasting Notes
The slopes of Rondekop provide the ideal terroir for our spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has a deep ruby core and a depth of black fruits on the nose. Black cherries, black plums and blackcurrant are present, along with spicier notes of baking spice, cigar box and lavender. A beautifully defined palate with long-grained tannins and a mouth-watering acidity carries the fruit and the spices to an emphatic finish. An exceptional wine to be enjoyed now, or in the next 8–10 years.
