Product Notes
La Poulosa La Vizcaina de Vinos wine is an exquisite offering by winemaker Raúl Pérez. Made in Spain's Bierzo region, it's a beautiful expression of the local Mencia grape. It's crafted from old-vine fruit, grown on steep slopes of clay and slate soils, which contribute a distinct minerality. The wine's fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and elegant fruit create a harmonious balance, while the oak aging adds a touch of smoky complexity. This ruby-red wine has an enticing aroma of red berries and a subtle earthiness, delivering a truly transcendent tasting experience.
Tasting Notes
La Poulosa is always a seductive little number, as notes of spearmint and black currant waft from the glass. Glossy black cherries and a certain sweet mossy-ness hits the palate. Silky, sweet and refined, black strawberries and plum stones emerge with aeration. Sweet, suave tannins and gently textured this is more open and immediately attractive versus the edgier, tighter La Vitoriana
