Product Notes

Schug Winery Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a remarkably refined red wine hailing from the distinguished vineyards of California. This wine oozes sophistication with its gentle blend of richly complex, earthy flavours which harmoniously complement the strong bouquet of dark cherries, ripe raspberries, and subtle hints of spice. It is medium-bodied with a lusciously smooth texture and captivating finish. The subtle oaky undertones derived from French barrel ageing makes this Pinot Noir the epitome of finesse and elegance, much beloved among wine connoisseurs. Sumptuous and enchanting, it provides a perfect accompaniment to roast duck or beef bourguignon.

Tasting Notes

Prolonged time on the vine helps retain natural acidity and showcases the bright flavors of red cherries, raspberries, and spice. We ensure this Pinot Noirs elegant expression by aging in large neutral oak casks and older French oak barrels to keep new oak flavors to a minimum. Lively acidity on the finish makes it an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish and fowl or barbecued meats.
