Product Notes

Tinto Pesquera Reserva is an emblematic Spanish red wine, appreciated worldwide for its exceptional quality. Made in Ribera del Duero, it is crafted using 100% Tempranillo grapes, delivering rich notes of ripened blackberries, plums, and a hint of spice. The palate reveals a vibrant, full-bodied flavour, harmoniously balanced with well-integrated tannins and a lasting finish. It is matured in American oak for 24 months, adding complex layers of vanilla and toasted notes. One gets a perfect harmony of fruitiness and oakiness in each sip. An absolute champion Tosadar, it ages wonderfully, showcasing the best of Spanish winemaking.

About the Winery

Tinto Pesquera

Nestled in the heart of Spain's acclaimed Ribera del Duero region, the Tinto Pesquera winery is an exquisite homage to the art of winemaking. Embodying an unparalleled blend of tradition and modernity, it is recognised globally for producing some of the most distinguished and sophisticated wines Spain has to offer.

Established by the charismatic Alejandro Fernandez in 1972, this iconic winery has truly ascended the echelons of viticulture. Fernandez, a revolutionary in the Spanish wine industry, fervently believed in the rich, ripe possibilities the tempranillo grape could offer. The embodiment of his vision lies in Pesquera wines. The vineyards of Tinto Pesquera, delightfully condensing deep-rooted knowledge, wisdom, and love into a palette of grapevines, spanning over 200 hectares across Ribera del Duero.

Tinto Pesquera crafts its wines solely from these tempranillo grapes, which undergo a meticulous process from vine to bottle. Each aspect of the winemaking operation is closely monitored, ensuring every bottle captures the perfect harmony of taste, aroma, and balance: a tango of velvety textures, intense fruit flavours, and scintillating earthy notes. The wines owe their unique character to the combination of an arid climate, varied soil content, and, the exceptional ageing process that includes French and American oak barrels.

But it’s not just the internationally cherished wines that make Tinto Pesquera an enchanting destination. The winery itself, a modern creation that pays homage to the traditional architectural style of the region, provides a mesmerising backdrop for wine-lovers. Tinto Pesquera also provides guided tours and tastings, inviting visitors to indulge in the purest form of Spanish viticultural experience.

Indeed, the elegance and craft that the Tinto Pesquera embodies is a testament to the extraordinary vision of Alejandro Fernandez, guaranteeing a memorable and encapsulating wine experience for all who cross its path.
