Product Notes

Vigneti del Salento Zolla Primitivo di Manduria is a full-bodied Italian red wine from the Salento region of Puglia. It boasts a deep purple hue and the nose is filled with intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and notes of toasted oak. On the palate, it's rich and velvety, offering flavours of dark chocolate, plum, and a hint of spice. This wine is well-balanced, with firm tannins and a trace of sweet, dried fruit on the finish. It pairs well with hearty meat dishes and is fit to be enjoyed on special occasions or casual evenings alike.

Tasting Notes

This wine is ruby red in colour with a violet hue. It has intense aromas of red cherries, blackberries and hints of spice and leather. These aromas follow through on to the palate, which is rich and velvety with generous tannins and great length.

About the Winery

Vigneti del Salento

Vigneti del Salento is an impressive Italian winery located in the Apulia region, considered to be the heel of Italy's boot-shaped peninsula. Nestled amidst verdant vineyards, the winery guarantees not only exquisite wines but also alluring sceneries you won't easily forget.

A young winery with an old soul, Vigneti del Salento has been flourishing since its establishment in 2000. It inherits traditional winemaking methods from the area’s rich past while incorporating modern innovations. This unusual combination allows the winery to create unique and distinct wines that perfectly represent their home.

The winery houses over 600 hectares of vineyards, each meticulously cared for by skilled viticulturists. Indigenous grape varieties such as Primitivo and Negroamaro are broadly cultivated, resulting in wines that sing of their native land. Besides, the winery is proud to be sustainable, employing practices that protect the land it benefits from, such as using organic fertilisers and limiting the use of chemicals.

Their wines are noted for their bold, rich character, exuding warmth akin to the sun-soaked region they originate from. Every bottle unites the power and structure of modern wines with the elegance and complexity that harks back to the era of classical winemaking. From the subtle rose notes in their elegant Vigneti del Salento Zolla Primitivo di Manduria to the rich, spicy hints in the I Muri Primitivo Negroamaro, there is a much-loved tipple for every wine enthusiast.

Wine tasting at Vigneti del Salento will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on your palette; your senses will feast on the tantalising aromas and flavours while your eyes will savour the picturesque landscapes. What better way to experience Italy's rich viticultural heritage, than at the heart of it all.
