Product Notes

Weingut Weszeli Grüner Veltliner Langenlois is a sublime manifestation of Austrian winemaking expertise. Hailing from the revered region of Langenlois, this remarkable wine reveals a luminous glow, inviting discerning palates to explore the expressive bouquet of citrus fruits, white pepper and delicate florals. With expertly-honed balance, it demonstrates seamless texture integrating crisp acidity which cuts through the wine’s full-bodied character. Among its layers, hints of green apple and pear shine on the palate, concluding with a long, mineral-infused finish. A true testament to the Grüner Veltliner varietal, Weszeli offers a wine for the discerning drinker, both luscious and complex.

Tasting Notes

The nose: Inviting creamy nose with aromas of orange zest, fresh meadow notes and apples, extremely crisp and vital, a touch of white bread. The palate: juicy with lively fruit, light to medium body, aromas of citrus and quince, filigree in the finish, stimulating and charming.

About the Winery

Weingut Weszeli

Weingut Weszeli is an esteemed winery nestled into the heart of Langenlois Austria. Established in 1995 by Davis Weszeli and Rupert Summerer, it boasts a rich tradition of creating delicate and luxurious wines. Using nature as their inspiration, they place a significant emphasis on sustainable and organic viticulture. Rather than forcing nature to abide by their rules, they submit to its will and let it guide their hand in creating truly authentic wines.

Their winery is encased by sprawling vineyards that bask under the Austrian sun. Fertile and lush, these vineyards are the lifeblood of Weingut Weszeli, producing the unique and succulent grapes that transform into their tantalising wines. Interestingly, they grow an array of varietals including Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The beautiful terraced vineyards make for an enchanting visual sight as one approaches the winery.

Inside, the winery is a testament to the fine balance between tradition and modernity, a space where old-world techniques meld with innovative processes. They utilise a low-intervention method in the production of their wines, preserving the natural flavour and character of the grapes. Their wines are known for their complexity and expressiveness, echoing the subtleties of the terroir from which they are sourced.
