Product Notes
Peter Lehmann Very Special Vineyard 1885 Barossa Valley Shiraz is an outstanding testament to Australia's wine history. This full-bodied, elegant Shiraz comes from some of the oldest vines in the world, planted in 1885. The wine's complex palate of ripe, dark fruit melds beautifully with an underlayer of peppery spice, culminating in a lingering, sumptuous finish. Well-structured, and bursting with character, this Shiraz boasts a harmonious balance of firm tannins and vital acidity. With an attractive display of rich, deep colour and a bouquet brimming with inviting aromas, it's a wine that indulges the senses before even the first sip.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple in colour. On the nose, aromas of dark plum, chocolate and menthol abound, with a subtle toasty oak complexity lingering in the background. The palate is full bodied and opulent, but finishes with typically elegant ‘1885’ tannin structure. The perfect balance of power and grace that is characteristic of old vine Barossa Shiraz.
