About the Winery

Domaine Sebastien Dampt

Domaine Sebastien Dampt is a distinguished French winery nestled at the heart of the picturesque Burgundy region. Having been established since 2007, it is relatively young in the grand spectrum of the region's illustrious wine producing tradition. That said, it certainly isn't lacking in legacy! The vineyard is managed by Sebastien Dampt, a passionate second-generation winemaker who has successfully managed to combine reverence for tradition with forward-thinking practices.

Set in the idyllic landscapes of Chablis, the winery boasts an impressive 7 hectares of vineyards, which are carefully cultivated to produce superior quality Chardonnay grapes. Akin to its notable neighbours, the Domaine Sebastien Dampt focuses primarily on producing divine, mineral-infused Chablis that perfectly express this unique terroir. The offerings include exquisite Petit Chablis, Chablis, and Premier Cru Chablis wines, each capturing the heart and soul of the land in its liquid embrace.

The vineyard and winery's environment-friendly practices are worth praising. Embracing organic farming methods, Dampt abstains from the use of pesticides or any synthetic products. These meticulous agricultural techniques, along with the vineyards microclimate, result in the production of wines that are wholesome, pure, and in perfect harmony with nature.

Inside the winery, Sebastien Dampt works with immense precision and a tremendous regard for quality from grape to glass. He leverages both contemporary and age-old wine-making processes, ensuring that each bottle retains the quintessential Chablis character. A combination of hand-harvesting, temperature-controlled fermentations and minimal oak usage help craft balanced wines that elegantly harmonise fruit, minerality and acidity.

If there's one thing to be noted in Domaine Sebastien Dampt's favour, it's the consistency in the remarkable standard of their wines. Year after year, they deliver wines that are an ode to the regional terroir, reflecting both their devotion to winemaking and the rich heritage of Chablis. The domain is undoubtedly a perfect embodiment of tradition meets modernity in wine-making. It's one to watch out for, if ever you're in Burgundy?
