Product Notes

Arnaldo Caprai's Montefalco Rosso is an Italian wine of exceptional quality from the Umbria region. This rich, full-bodied red blend displays an alluring ruby-red hue. The bouquet carries complex notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and smoke, marrying perfectly with the palate of velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a long-lasting finish. A blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Merlot grapes, it carries undertones of forest fruits, blackberry and plum, accompanied by hints of liquorice and cocoa. Aged in French oak barrels, it shows an excellent structure that pairs superbly with grilled meats and mature cheeses.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Small red woodland fruits, dark flowers and light herbaciousness enriched with a note of pepper. Taste: Dry and fresh with enough softness to counterbalance the tannins.
