Product Notes

Agricola Brandini Barolo Comune di La Morra is a marvellous premium wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. Exemplary of the famed Barolo style, it exhibits intense ruby red hues and a complex, refined bouquet, featuring rich notes of blackcurrant, cherry and light hints of chocolate and vanilla. The palate is well-structured and elegant, offering a robust blend of tannins and acidity, which perfectly complement its intricate layers of fruit flavours. This wine’s substantial body, superb balance and lingering finish make it a gourmet delight. Its ageing potential means it will continue to amaze over the coming years.

Tasting Notes

Very fine, spicy and then fruity, with floral notes of rose and currants. A taste response characterised by good body and exceptional smoothness, followed by lively, young tannin with lingering persistency. Elegant, clean finish.

About the Winery

Agricola Brandini

Situated in the heart of Langhe, in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, Agricola Brandini stands as an authentic testament to traditional and indigenous winemaking. Priding themselves on their environmental sustainability philosophies, Brandini specialises in cultivating native grape varieties as a tribute to Italy's rich viticulture legacy.

Founded in 1985, the Brandini vineyard spans approximately 40 acres teeming with the biodiversity of local plant species. The agronomic techniques employed are firmly rooted in organic farming principles, including the avoidance of chemical pesticides and herbicides. Instead, natural fertilisers, such as compost and green manure, are used to enrich the soil, along with the rotation of crops to optimise diversity and natural pest control.

The winery is particularly known for its Barolo and Barbera wines, as well as the delicate white Arneis, each reflecting the distinct terroir of the Langhe region. Making a conscious choice to allow nature to dictate the rhythm of the viti-vinicultural cycle, the wines of Agricola Brandini embody the very essence of their native land.

Attention to detail in every phase of production, coupled with a profound love and respect for their land, sets Agricola Brandini apart from the rest. Their wines encapsulate meticulous craftsmanship and a rich heritage, being revered worldwide for their depth, complexity and extraordinary character.

Visitors to the winery have an opportunity to course through vineyards and behold the breathtaking vistas that surround them. Tastings accompanied by regional gourmet specialties provide an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Where traditionally, it has always been a place of spirited community gatherings – a symbol of conviviality togetherness, and the joy of living.

Embodying the perfect blend of timeless artistry, innovative techniques and environmental responsibility, Agricola Brandini offers a truly unique sensory wine experience that is the taste, aroma and spirit of Langhe. Mile after mile, grape after grape, they are dedicated to keeping alive the Italian tradition of wine, where time only ads to its inimitable bouquet.
