About the Winery

Roccolo Grassi

Nestled in the beautiful Valpolicella region of northern Italy, Roccolo Grassi is a picturesque winery known for its exemplary dedication to quality and tradition. This family-run establishment seeped in tradition honours the intimate relationship between the land, vine and the passing of time.

Founded in 1996 by Marco Sartori and his parents, Roccolo Grassi firmly believes in the philosophy of “making wine in the vineyard.” This means the vineyards are nurtured meticulously to yield the healthiest and ripest grapes. This approach truly shines in their collection of wines, which expertly showcases the unique personality of each harvest.

Sprawling across 14 hectares, the winery primarily cultivates native grape varieties, with the focus on Amarone, Recioto, and Valpolicella Superiore. Their signature Amarone della Valpolicella, characterized by its finely balanced sweet-bitter profile, is a remarkable interpretation of the local terroir and Roccolo Grassi’s conscientious winemaking process.

While passionate about maintianing traditional approaches, Roccolo Grassi is not afraid to experiment. The result is a compelling mix of timeless classics and expressive modern wines, all distinguished by their marked individuality and distinct flavour profiles.

The dedication to authenticity and quality doesn't stop at their wines alone. Being at Roccolo Grassi transports you to a different era; the rustic charm of the vineyard, the lingering scent of ripening grapes, and the warm hospitality of the Sartori family all converge to offer you an enchanting, holistic wine experience.

If you're an oenophile on the lookout for something sublimely Italian, Roccolo Grassi is an absolute must-visit. Their deep-seated love for winemaking, coupled with their inexhaustible pursuit of perfecting each detail, is beautifully manifested with every sip of their remarkable wines. Roccolo Grassi is not merely a winery, it is an invitation. An invitation to relish memorable wines crafted with integrity, tradition and a great deal of heart.
