Product Notes

Patz & Hall's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay exudes a perfect combination of elegance and sumptuousness, embodying the quintessential qualities of a commendable Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. With a rich, golden hue and fruity aroma, this wine opens to luscious waves of apple, pear, citrus and melon. Layered beneath are subtle notes of oak, butter and vanilla, enhancing its complexity and depth. A delightful acidity brings a refreshing finish to your palate. Ideal for special celebrations or intimate gatherings, this Chardonnay is an apt testament to the mastery of Californian wine-making.

Tasting Notes

This wine is a true collection of single vineyards that could all be bottled on their own including; Sanchietti Vineyard, Gap’s Crown Vineyard, Zio Tony Ranch, Dutton Ranch and Durell Vineyard. On the nose, aromas of dried orange peel, roasted almond, lemon sugar cookie and green apple are nicely supported by spicy French oak shadings. The mouthfeel is crisp and juicy with cascading, mouthwatering.

About the Winery

Patz & Hall

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of California's Sonoma Valley, one finds the illustrious Patz & Hall winery. Since its establishment in 1988 by four self-confessed wine enthusiasts, this winery has maintained an unwavering commitment to creating the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

At the cornerstone of Patz & Hall's philosophy is an enduring devotion to the precise, character-driven expression of vineyards and vintage. They have formed a collaborative bond with the region’s top wine growers to ensure the optimal quality of their grape harvests.

Supporting the notion of "the best grape from the best vineyard", Patz and Hall have championed the cause of site-specific winemaking. Rather than blend across different sites, they aim to reflect the unique character of individual vineyards in their wine line.

Sumptuous sips of their renowned Chardonnay reveal a seductive richness, depth and complexity. Meanwhile, the vineyard-designated Pinot Noir is prized for providing a balance of elegant intricacy and robust intensity as well for its ability to improve with age.

The winery's stylish tasting room is a testament to their commitment to good taste. Welcoming and relaxed, it's the perfect space to enjoy slow sips of their world-class wines while gazing out over the tranquil vineyards.

Ever the conscious cultivators, Patz & Hall have maintained a commitment to sustainable farming which resonates through the soul of their wine.

On the back of three decades of craftsmanship. Patz and Hall have gained an esteemed reputation in the world of fine wines. Their signature fusion of exceptional fruit, artisan winemaking and enduring relationships have cemented their place at the forefront of Californian winemaking. Their offerings provide a journey steeped in elegance and complexity, painted against the backdrop of the Sonoma Valley's stunning scenery. Amidst the rolling vineyards and sun-drenched skies, Patz & Hall crafts beautifully layered wines with a nuanced expression of place and time.
