Product Notes

Betz Family Winery La Serenne Yakima Valley Syrah wine is an exquisite representation of the exceptional wine-producing region of Yakima Valley, USA. This splendid Syrah is characterised by a dark, brooding vigour, harmonious textures, and a complex, lingering finish. It captivates the senses with bountiful red fruit aromas, hints of violet, and a subtle touch of white pepper. A palate of cassis and dark berry flavours are underscored by perfectly integrated tannins, manifesting in a full-bodied, smooth wine. La Serenne is a rich, elegant offering from the celebrated Betz Family Winery that promises an enticing, satisfying wine tasting experience.

Tasting Notes

The 2018 La Serenne shines from the moment it’s poured with dark, glass-coating, black-purple color. The aromatics show the characteristic Boushey “wildness”: smoked meat, lavender, fennel, white pepper, and tarragon swirl along with inky blueberry, marionberry, and cacao nibs. The palate is rich and vibrant adding cracked espresso bean, clove, and dusty mineral tone. The polished tannic backbone indicates long cellar life, at least 15-20 years…if you can manage to resist it now
