Product Notes

The Massolino Barolo Riserva Vigna Rionda wine is a refined, yet potent selection from Italy's Langhe region. The nose is inundated with rich, decadent aromas of ripe red cherry, dried herbs, and aged leather. On the palate, one will discern flavours of spice laced plum and wild strawberry, underlined by robust tannins. This splendid, full-bodied Barolo, aged for years in oak and further matured in the bottle, has a remarkable ageing potential. Bright garnet red, this wine is very intensely floral in its youth and develops a seductive bouquet with age. The palate opens up gradually and becomes most expressive six years after harvest, when it is released for sale.
