The Pio Cesare Barolo Ornato is a truly regal Italian wine from Piedmont region. It boasts a deep ruby colour and rich, indulgent aromas of ripe red fruit, wild rose, and notes of spice, eucalyptus and liquorice. On the palate, one can expect an intense, full-bodied flavour profile, displaying excellent balance between powerful tannins and sumptuous fruit. It is a complex wine that gracefully matures with age, progressing from a youthful boldness to a sophisticated, polished character. This Barolo Ornato is a quintessential expression of Nebbiolo grapes and the prestigious vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba.

Tasting Notes

This wine has great structure and concentration, with ripe fruit, soft tannins and tobacco. May be appreciated immediately, but with a very long life. It is produced in small quantities and only in excellent vintages.
